Unglued: Very Merry Market is coming to you Black Friday!
That’s right. We don’t need to sleep. We so LOVE the holiday season and want to make it as AWESOME as we possibly can for you that we are opening a SECOND LOCATION from Black Friday – Christmas Eve!!
The Kilbourne Group here in downtown Fargo invited us just a couple weeks ago to consider doing a pop up shop in a retail space currently unoccupied. Being that we love an impossible challenge and are receiving waaaay more crazy awesome handmade gifts and seasonal items that our own permanent shop can hold…and after drinking a lot of coffee…during a moment of caffeinated highs we said YES.

The space is at 102 Broadway next to Halberstadts and across from the Hotel Donaldson (hello martinins after hours!). My brother recommended making it “Unglued, holiday edition, on steroids” – after hearing that I was like, well, HECK YES. We started the move into the space just last weekend and in exactly 1 week will have it fully decked out in holiday cheer like you have never seen! Seriously, if we are going to make something happen through Unglued it has to be completely kick ass (no mediocre allowed!).
So what will this pop up shop feature? This shop will be an explosion of holiday cheer bursting with handmade holiday and seasonal items (the coolest calendars and handmade gift wrap, garland, and more!), artisan food from Pride of Dakota (Karen’s Kuchen in mini sizes, Dot’s Pretzels, Might Missouri Coffee Co., and then some including eggnog truffles!), a kids toyland (Elf-inspired, of course), AND an overflow of great stocking stuffers and handmade gifts that our own shop just couldn’t fit (I’m not kidding – we even found wild flower and herb seed bombs that come with a handmade SLING SHOT).
Additionally – WE HAVE SANTA!!! And reindeer (boom). Really, we aren’t going to disappoint you the 4 weekends we are open. Each Thursday night we are open from 5-9pm and will feature “Holiday Date Nights” from Kids’ Date Night to Pet Date Night (photo booths with your pets including adorning your pet with a bandana from Hot Dog! Pet Salon to get ready for your crazy Christmas plans). On Saturdays and Sundays we’ll feature the sweetest holiday events like Make & Take Extravaganzas, demos from local artists, SANTA (really), and more. It’s going to be magical and it’s going to be a holiday experience you can’t miss!
So come to our 408 Broadway permanent shop to find the most unique and one-of-a-kind gifts for everyone on your list every day of the week starting on Black Friday (whaaaa? yes, even Mondays). Then come by our Unglued: Very Merry Market at 102 Broadway on Thursday evenings and then all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to feel those warm fuzzies and holiday cheer while checking out our expanded selection of AWESOME. Yes…awesome.
We’re solidifying our sweet schedule details for both shops…but as you probably know we love events so you should definitely watch for more info on that on our Facebook events page and on our website events page. For now, though, here’s our plans for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, and yes, you should be a part of them:

Black Friday – Give Back Friday with Unseen Ministries
Small Business Saturday – FREE holiday mini cupcake from Bakeology with every purchase + cider and FUN.
102 Broadway:
Black Friday – Scratch off cards for use at both shops to the first 50 people! Win anything from a free cupcake to $25 off a purchase and more! Also, we’ll give everyone a hug who brings us caffeine (only somewhat kidding…).
Small Business Saturday – Mimosas, hot cocoa bar, and cookies! (and other surprises!)
I think the biggest lesson we’re learning is that even when you think all your creativity is maxed it just takes one crazy challenge to show you there’s more that can happen! And that even with all the planning ahead possible, there’s still adventures that come up that you just need to do! My favorite line EVER in a song is “never mind our plan making – we’ll start living!”
