Syttende Mai Craft & Celebration Prep with Knask Designs

Join Knask Designs to do 3 super easy crafts in the one workshop time to get them ready to celebrate Norway's Constitution Day - Syttende Mai.  Jessica has been a longstanding Norwegian instructor with the Concordia Language Village and a local maker here in the FM area!

Just so happens that the most commonly flown flag by non-government people in Norway is pennant shaped so we will be making one of those to start!  The 'vimpel' will have the traditional red, white, and blue stripes with pre-cut felt word appliques to be added to the front and back.  One side with say 'heia Norge' (yay Norway) and the other 'evig og tro til Dovre faller' which is a very famous quote from when the constitution was written.

Next we'll make a Norwegian flag felt garland because you always need more flags for decoration!  Perfect for Syttende Mai (and Christmas... Norwegians are big on decorating with the flag for Christmas), each participant will be able to make a 10' garland full of mini-Norwegian flags.  Heck... you can even add on an American inspired flag or two if they want!

Finally, we'll make our own 'sløyfe' (decorative button) to pin proudly to our chest on Syttende Mai to show our Norwegian spirit.

Plus we're going to learn a bit of Norwegian and the history of the day while we're doing all of this!  

This workshop is Wed, May 15 6pm at the Unglued Craftatorium at Brewhalla - 1702 1st Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102 (attached to Drekker Brewing - you'll find this workshop room on Brewhalla's 2nd floor!).  Ages middle school to adult. Each attendee must be a ticket holder.

Refund policy:  We know plans can change!  If you need to change plans please email us at ungluedcraftfest@gmail.com at least 72 hours prior to workshop start to receive a full refund.  After that we don't give refunds as supplies are already purchased unless if we are able to utilize a wait list based on demand, but you can transfer it to another person!

Please note a minimum of 8 participants is required so if we don't reach that by 24 hours prior to the event you will be notified by email and refunded.
